Provides confidential, non-judgemental emotional support for people experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those that could lead to suicide. You can phone, email, write a letter or in most cases talk to someone face to face.
I will work with you on a one-one basis in all of my approaches. We can meet In person or Online for all sessions however counselling can also be done over the telephone if you would prefer.
This will ultimately be decided by you, everyone is different, as is each situation, therefore it’s impossible to say how many sessions you might need.
I offer open-ended counselling sessions and so our work together can be short, medium or long-term, dependent on your preference and requirements. As counselling is a gradual process, the total number of sessions required varies considerably based on your concerns and level of distress.
Most people find it beneficial to meet on a weekly or fortnightly basis however we can discuss what works best for you.
Yes, your privacy is my priority. Everything discussed in sessions is strictly confidential, with exceptions only in cases where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, as required by law. I will explain confidentiality policies clearly during your first session.
You can submit the form online or send a text. Once received I aim to respond within 48 hours excluding weekends. We can communicate through email or text to arrange a mutually agreeable time for me to ring you. You may wish to share a brief overview of your reason for seeking counselling. This call gives you a chance to ask any questions and get a feel for how I work. You may wish to discuss your availability and how often you would like to have appointments. If meeting in person you may have questions about the space. Once we agree that we will work together I will email a contract agreement to you to complete and return. We will then agree on a mutually suitable date and get you booked in. Payment details are included in the contract and payment secures your appointment.
