Hello, I’m Janine — a qualified therapeutic counsellor, yoga teacher, and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) practitioner in training.
My journey into counselling and wellbeing began over 20 years ago through my personal experience with yoga. During times of grief, loss, trauma, and anxiety, yoga became a steady source of support — helping me reconnect with myself and find practical ways to restore balance, both emotionally and physically. This deeply personal journey of self-discovery continues to shape the way I work with others today.
Inspired to share the benefits I had experienced, I trained with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2014 and became a yoga teacher. Supporting others to build resilience and develop their own tools for navigating life’s challenges remains at the heart of my work.
This passion naturally led me into counselling. I trained using a person-centred approach, developed by Carl Rogers, which closely aligns with the values I discovered through yoga philosophy — that each individual has an innate ability to grow, heal, and move toward their full potential.
I offer a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. At the centre of my work is the therapeutic relationship, creating the conditions for meaningful self-discovery and personal growth.
My approaches can be used individually or integrated together, depending on what feels right for you. My aim is to empower you to find your own path, develop your unique toolkit, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and wellbeing.
